Useful information
opening hours and prices
The museum is open every day, except on 1st January, during the annual closure (in 2025: from 5 to 31 January), on 1st May, 25th December and on Mondays from 15 November to 28 February.
Access to the tunnels has been restricted since 15 July 2025 due to work being carried out on the lift; however, all areas of the coal mine remain open to visitors as usual.
The lamp room is also currently being renovated and will be closed to the public from 31 August 2026.
🌡️ Hot weather: the temperature in the tunnels, where the guided tour takes place, is similar to that outside, and the museum’s exhibition rooms, housed in the former Delloye pit buildings, are not air-conditioned. In view of this, people with health conditions are advised to visit in the morning.
